A Search for the Perfect Crunch The Burton Granola journey began with a simple frustration. Our founder, Xhoana, was tired of searching the supermarket shelves for a wholesome breakfast. Everything she found seemed to be packed with hidden preservatives and artificial chemicals, or it was rock-hard that eating it felt like a workout for her teeth! She knew there had to be a better way to enjoy a delicious, natural start to the day.
Perfecting the Recipe Taking matters into her own hands, Xhoana headed into her kitchen and began crafting her own granola. Her goal was clear: use only real, natural ingredients and create a texture that delivered a satisfying crunch without being too tough to chew. For a whole year, she baked and perfected her recipes, with her husband and family happily serving as her dedicated taste testers.
Our Local Debut in Burton on the Wolds After a year of family rave reviews, Xhoana decided to take a leap. Looking for an excuse to get out, meet people, and connect with the local community, she baked a fresh batch to take down to our local village farmers' market right here in Burton on the Wolds. She set up her stall with zero expectations, simply hoping to share something she loved making.
Selling Out and Stepping Up To her absolute surprise, the response was overwhelming. Every single bag of granola sold out within just an hour and a half! That incredible morning changed everything. Seeing the community's love for wholesome, handmade food, Xhoana’s husband officially came on board to help her meet the demand.
Growing With Our Community Today, what started as a personal mission in our home kitchen has blossomed into a true family business. You can now find the two of us setting up our stall together at various local markets every week. We absolutely love meeting you all, sharing our handcrafted granola, and continuing to grow our wonderful community of local customers.
